Thanksgiving Point

Thank you to all who participated in the Thanksgiving Point Tournament.  My personal opinion is the course was in great condition, although I wasn’t a fan of the bunkers, so I kept going in to them so I could see if any were good.  I didn’t find any I liked!

In the end, I would say the course won the day for most of us, but we had one person post a -1 under 71.  Congratulations to Chris Dean for taking Low Gross for the Men.  On the Ladies side Tracy Zahler took low gross with a 106.  To put it in perspective, we only had two other rounds in the 70’s.  Ryan Spafford with a 73 and Bret Iverson with a 76.

Special Rules:

Holes 7 and 17 will have specially marked drop zones.  USGA Rules will be followed other than these drop zones.

Here is the current guidelines we will look to adhere to.

  • Practice Social Distancing at all times.
  • The Range will be open from 6:45 to 7:15 AM.  You must drive directly to the range and then come to the course and check in at 7:30.  You will still putt and chip at the nearest hole to your tee box.
  • Carts are placed 6′ apart from each other.
  • Same household will be allowed on the same cart, single rider carts other than that.
  • You will be sent to your hole as soon as you are ready.
  • Bring antibacterial wipes.  The course is disinfecting, but
  • Do not share clubs.
  • No course personnel/anyone will handle your clubs.
  • Do not touch flag sticks.
  • Cups have foam in them to make the ball easy to retrieve without touching anything.
  • A blow horn will initiate the start of the tournament.
  • Score cards will be dropped in a box near the cart return.
  • Winners and payouts will be announced the next day.
  • Payouts will be mailed.
